Connections is a non-commercial website owned and operated by Anthony Kozar Jr. and Elizabeth Mather. We run this site as a hobby for the enjoyment of our family and friends. Connections is completely ad-free and does not use any third-party trackers. We do not share any information about you or any content that you post outside of the Connections website. The content on Connections is not viewable on the public internet, i.e. you must be a member of the site to see the content posted by other users. Connections users are able to control exactly which members can see each item that they post to the site. Our community guidelines prohibit members from further sharing other members' posts without permission.
Please note however that ALL content that you post to Connections is visible to Anthony or Liz when we are logged in as the site administrator. This is just the nature of the administrator's account: in order to be able to fix problems, the admin must be able to see everything in the system. We do not intend to use this capability to look at the private posts that you share with other members. We use the site primarily from our limited personal accounts so that we only see the content that has been shared with us. Still, we recommend that you not post anything to Connections that you would consider too private for us to see.
In addition, the Connections website is hosted by the web-hosting company Dreamhost. This means that the site runs on computers owned and operated by Dreamhost at one of their data centers. Our hosting agreement with Dreamhost limits their use of the data on our sites to providing the hosting services that we request. Be aware that because the data from the Connections website is stored on Dreamhost machines, it is technically possible for some Dreamhost employees to look at the personal information that you upload to the site. But we have been hosting our websites with Dreamhost for 15 years now and we trust that Dreamhost does not misuse our site data or allow employees to do so (within the limits of their power and authority, of couse).
